Ranulf Glanville
VICE PRESIDENT, DePutter Publishing Ltd.
After completing an MBA at the Ivey School of Business in 2003, it was my pleasure to join the DePutter team as a market analyst. I saw it as an ideal opportunity for me to combine my passion for the commodity markets with my experiences growing up in rural Ontario.
In 2006, I added to my professional credentials by completing the Chartered Financial Analyst® program. This designation is awarded by the CFA Institute, which leads the investment and derivatives industry by setting the highest standards of ethics and professional excellence.
Of course, academic credentials are worthless without practical knowledge. The road that brought me to DePutter Publishing Ltd. was both rewarding and winding. There were stops along the way in the forestry, gold and diamond industries. Each experience provided me with valuable insights into fundamental supply and demand factors and cyclical forces that I now apply to analyzing the agricultural commodity markets.
Today I spearhead all aspects of our work on the Ag-Alert family of products, including the twice-monthly newsletters, daily hotlines and Ag-Alert Plus reports. Through these products, my primary goal is to provide the timely and insightful market analysis and recommendations our clients have come to depend on. I believe that the sensible and straightforward advice we provide is more important than ever in these volatile times.
Since becoming Vice President of DePutter Publishing in 2006, my role extends far beyond Ag-Alert to encompass all of our publications and business initiatives. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in a group subscription to any of our products, have a specialized consulting need or simply have questions about how to improve your own farm marketing. I can be reached at rglanville@agalert.ca.
